Pat Frewer
B.Comm. LL.B., President
Pat Frewer received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1979 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1982, from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He practiced corporate/commercial law there for 5 years before returning to his native city of Vancouver in 1987. Since then, he has been engaged in real estate development and consulting and often applies his legal training to directing outside counsel and internal legal matters on behalf of his clients.
Seniorhome was established in 1994 to focus Pat’s real estate development, financing, and marketing expertise on the seniors’ housing and residential care sector. Pat has assisted a variety of developers, owners, operators, and government authorities, as well as many seniors and their families. His work is always undertaken with a passion for ensuring that a range of flexible, cost effective and innovative housing and service programs is made available to seniors through the early retirement phase and the later years of their aging process. An equivalent passion is to ensure sustainable, profitable operations and return on investment for our clients.
Pat advocates for the development of private pay options alongside the traditional funded programs in the Canadian social housing and health care systems, to expand the range of services available to the consumer and to strengthen the universal public health care system and government funded housing programs. This focus has led to numerous opportunities to represent non-profit organizations in P-3 collaborations with for-profit and government entities.
Seniorhome is a member of the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and remains affiliated with the B.C. Seniors Living Association, where Pat served as a board member for 4 years. He also serves on and chairs the Board of the Phoenix Drug and Alcohol Recovery and Education Society.
